With the beginning of this noble season, Native American communities get together to celebrate with traditional dances and music. That's what the Pow Wow is about.
The Native American Council of Columbia University stepped forward and gave us the chance to see all friends and meet new ones, last Saturday, April 14th.
Yellow Hawk came from Fenix, AZ, to the opening, whose picture you see here. There were many customs and regalia representing the season, the competitions, the warriors, and so forth.
Women power was there not just as dancers but it was certainly their nice touch to organize the festivity.
On this post we see the Butterfly Dance, which celebrates the Spring season showing how Life Springs up in many forms.
